Not only do our girls possess power house pedigrees, but all of our females are genetically healthy and sound. Every female at Contender Retrievers has hip certifications from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and eye certifications from the Canine Eye Registry Foundation (CERF). Every sire selected to be bred to our females must also possess these certifications. All of our puppies & dogs come with a written hip / eye guarantee as well as a health guarantee.

Contender Retrievers takes tremendous pride in producing the most fully socialized, healthiest puppies with the best bloodlines you will find anywhere. Our standards are well above what you might expect to see elsewhere. Our goal with every breeding is to produce a puppy or dog that is an overall better animal than it’s two parents. This can be a tall order to fill, but we expect nothing less. Puppies may be picked up at Contender Retrievers and we will co-ordinate times and dates with the new owners. Two other options that are available are shipping by plane or having your puppy delivered to you by a driver in a vehicle. Both are extremely easy and economical, especially considering today’s ever increasing fuel prices. In either of these instances, Contender Retrievers will make the necessary travel arrangements, provide health certificates and purchase a crate (if needed). All freight and related shipping / transportation charges are the responsibility of the new owner. )
